Environment
We have modified our environment so radically that we must now modify ourselves to exist in this new environment. ~ Norbert Weiner.

But why?
A cultural preoccupation with ourselves is gradually returning to an acknowledgements of what's around us. Environmental groups on all levels are promoting various means of slowing or repairing environmental damage to our living space, by industrialism.  These local groups are at the forefront of the Tweed's "Green Movement."

Located in Queen Street, Murwillumbah, the Caldera Environment Centre provides all kind of greens goods and services, and is a rallying point for anyone with environmental concerns or issues.

Tweed climate Action Now (CAN)
Tweed Climate Action Now (Tweed CAN) was created by residents of the Tweed Shire, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia in 2006. Save the Caldera Rivers Campaign Group
In 2007 The federal government proposed damming the Rous River, Oxley River and Byrill Creek.  Local opposition to the plan was strong enough for the Save the Caldera Rivers Campaign to form, in an effort to stop the proposed dams from being built.... so far
