Community Associations
What cannot be achieved in one lifetime will happen when one lifetime is joined to another. ~ Harold Kushner

There has been a lot of discussion by social scientists about what community is, but we can ask: who defines community?
Well around here its the community members who define what a community is. Just ask the members of the following community groups.

Murwillumbah Residents and Ratepayers Association
The (MRRA) holds it’s meetings on the third Monday of the month, from 7.30pm, at the Autumn Club in Tumbulgum Road, Murwillumbah. We meet and talk about things that are going on in our town. We follow what we can in regard to Council matters that relate to our town, our relation to the rest of the Shire, and it’s future. We have guest speakers that come to our meetings and inform us of relevant aspects of our town, or special interests. The MRRA was formed in 2007. We work towards getting the best possible outcomes for our area, and the potential of the Shire. We have written submissions to Council, and represent our name sake. Please feel free to attend a meeting, to observe or engage. A gold coin donation will get you a cuppa and a bickie after the meeting. Membership costs $6.00.
